The Dark Tower

OK, I'm finished - finally!

I'll be back to write about it in a day or so, I have to collect my thoughts.

Take Care.

I finished the series and went back and listened to them on audio CD and I am still trying to get my thoughts on these great books.

Bev Vincent wrote a great companion book "The Road to The Dark Tower" its great for revewing and added connections.

Now read all the connected works...good luck and start with Insomnia.

Did you happen to listen to Dark Tower 1: The Gunslinger with the text read by Stephen himself? I have heard it and I think it was great, because it was read by the person who wrote it and he read it the way he wanted it to be heard with emphasis on certain words etc.

I have not listened to the Gunslinger read by Mr. King himself although I am intrigued and will definately look for it. I have listened to both version one read by Frank Mueller and the other by George Guidell ( excuse spelling). I really enjoyed Mr. Mueller's readings of the first three books but after his accident he was unable to continue. I have come to really like Mr. Guidell's readings as well.

In my trolling I was able to find out there is an audio CD release of Insomnia in the UK but only the cassett version is available in the US. Have you come across this as well?

To be honest, I really haven't looked, but I do recall finding an Insomina audio book in tape cassette form (which I didn't buy because I no longer have a cassette player) at a discount book store and I have never seen a CD version.
